The nationwide reach of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), particularly its interventions targeting women, youths, children and vulnerable families, has been highlighted as Senator Oluremi Tinubu marks her 66th birthday.
The Akwa Ibom State chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, in a birthday message to the First Lady, said her humanitarian interventions had continued to touch communities across Nigeria through programmes in agriculture, economic empowerment, social investment, healthcare and education.
In a statement signed by the State Coordinator, Obong Prince Ikim, the organisation described Oluremi Tinubu as a “woman of grace, impact and distinction,” while commending what it described as her commitment to improving the welfare of vulnerable Nigerians.
The group noted that the RHI operates across the six geopolitical zones and the 774 local government areas, with programmes designed to support households and communities facing economic and social challenges.
According to the organisation, women and young people have remained major beneficiaries of the First Lady’s empowerment interventions, alongside children and families requiring social and humanitarian support.
The Akwa Ibom chapter said the programmes had provided a platform for addressing areas of need beyond conventional political activities, particularly through interventions in livelihood support, healthcare and education.
It added that the focus on vulnerable groups reflected the First Lady’s stated commitment to using her office to promote social inclusion and improve opportunities for Nigerians at the grassroots.
The birthday celebration also attracted a personal tribute from President Bola Tinubu, who described his wife as his “truest friend and confidante.”
The President recalled her patience, courage and support throughout their years together as he celebrated her 66th birthday on Monday.
The Akwa Ibom Renewed Hope Ambassadors said the occasion provided an opportunity to recognise the First Lady’s public service and humanitarian engagements while wishing her continued strength in service to the country.
“Happy Birthday, Your Excellency,” the group declared, joining other Nigerians in marking the birthday of the First Lady.
