House of Representatives member Mark Esset has urged APC leaders across the 42 political wards in Uyo Federal Constituency to mobilise grassroots support for all the party’s candidates in the 2027 general elections.
Esset, who represents Uyo/Uruan/Nsit Atai/Ibesikpo Asutan Federal Constituency, made the call at a meeting with APC chapter chairmen, women leaders and ward executives drawn from the four local government areas.
He urged the party officials to strengthen coordination at the grassroots and work collectively towards the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Umo Eno, as well as the election of other APC candidates, including himself and the party’s State House of Assembly candidates.
The lawmaker said his political strategy was anchored on the Unity Project 2027, which seeks to bring party stakeholders together and strengthen the APC’s structures across the constituency.
He also called on the leaders to promote inclusiveness and ensure that party members were carried along in the mobilisation process.
Esset commended Prince Enobong Uwah, political leader of Uyo Federal Constituency, for his role in coordinating party structures, urging APC officials to sustain teamwork ahead of the elections.
The chairman of the Unity Project 2027 Campaign Organisation, Monday Eyo Okon, described the meeting as timely and called on party leaders to intensify mobilisation for all APC candidates.
Also speaking, the Executive Director (Projects) of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Victor Antai, urged the ward and chapter leaders to work towards securing broad electoral support for the party.
The APC leaders who attended the meeting pledged to mobilise voters in their respective wards for the party’s candidates in the 2027 elections.
The meeting was also attended by the Director-General of the Unity Project 2027, Ubong Amamkpa, and the campaign secretary, Tony Asikpo, among other party stakeholders.
