Champion Breweries Plc is preparing to introduce canned versions of its products by December 2026, following the arrival of its canning line, as the company expands its offerings with Bullet Energy Drink.
The company’s Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Omotunde Adenusi, revealed the development during a meeting with the 2026 Press Week Committee of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom State Council, in Uyo on Wednesday.
The expansion comes under the ownership of EnjoyCorp Limited, with the brewery also reporting progress in its shareholder relations. Adenusi disclosed that the company had resumed dividend payments after several years, while interest in its shares had increased.
He urged consumers to support locally manufactured goods by purchasing the company’s products, including its newly added energy drink. He also said Champion Breweries remained committed to working with the media to communicate its activities and reach a wider market.
Adenusi pledged the brewery’s support for this year’s NUJ Press Week, following remarks by the committee chairman, Comrade Gideon Ekere, who highlighted the company’s contribution to Akwa Ibom’s industrial development.
Ekere said the brewery’s continued operations and efforts to improve its brands remained important to the state’s industrial heritage. He welcomed the company’s readiness to collaborate with the union and expressed hope that its business expansion would bring further economic benefits to Akwa Ibom.
The 2026 NUJ Akwa Ibom State Council Press Week will take place from November 29 to December 5.
