Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has donated campaign buses to youth leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to strengthen grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
The First Lady presented the vehicles during a meeting with APC youth leaders at her office, urging them to deploy their energy, ideas and organisational skills towards securing a second term for the president.
She called for unity among party youths and support groups, stressing that coordinated efforts would be necessary to mobilise voters across the country ahead of the presidential election.
Mrs Tinubu said the ruling party had achievements to showcase to Nigerians and urged the youth leaders to use them as the basis of their campaigns.
She also presented campaign materials and handed over the buses, which were donated to her office, for use in political mobilisation across the country.
The First Lady charged the youth leaders to take the campaign beyond major cities and reach communities across the country with the party’s message of continuity, hope and prosperity.
Responding on behalf of the APC National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, the youth representatives thanked the First Lady for the support and pledged to strengthen cooperation among party groups to mobilise grassroots votes for President Tinubu.
The engagement underscores the APC’s efforts to position its youth structures as a key part of its mobilisation strategy ahead of the next presidential election.
