1. As His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, visits Akwa Ibom State on Friday, November 6, 2026, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, Governor of Akwa Ibom State, has declared the day a work-free day to enable workers and residents to join in welcoming Mr. President, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, and members of the Presidential Campaign Council.
2. During the historic visit, President Tinubu will officially open the new terminal at Victor Attah International Airport and commission several landmark projects executed by the State Government. These include the Airport Hospital, Aviation Village, the 7.8 KM dualised Ring Road 3 , the AkwaGIS Building, Governor’s Office Annex, Security and Command Centre, and the ARISE Palm Resort.
3. The declaration underscores the importance the State Government attaches to the visit and provides an opportunity for the people of Akwa Ibom to demonstrate their renowned hospitality and warmth. It also reflects the shared commitment of the Federal and State Governments to national unity, cooperation and sustainable development.
4. The Governor urges citizens and residents across the State to turn out in large numbers at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium to warmly welcome Mr. President and his entourage. He also urges everyone to maintain peace and order throughout the visit.
