Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has commended his daughter, Mrs Helen Eno-Obareki, for continuing to advance the vision of her late mother, Pastor Patience Umo Eno, through her work with the Golden Initiative For All (GIFA).
Eno gave the commendation in a birthday message to Helen, who serves as Coordinator of the Office of the First Lady, applauding her commitment to touching lives, supporting families and showing compassion to vulnerable and needy residents.
“Through your work, you have continued to advance her vision of touching lives, supporting families and showing compassion to the vulnerable and the neediest,” the governor said.
He said Helen had risen admirably to the responsibilities of coordinating the Office of the First Lady since assuming the role, describing her performance as a source of immense pride to him as her father.
“Since assuming the role as the Coordinator of the Office of the First Lady, you have risen admirably to the occasion, carrying out your duties with grace, strength and a deep sense of responsibility,” Eno said.
The governor particularly acknowledged Mrs Oberek’s commitment to the ideals of GIFA, describing the initiative as the signature pet project that was very close to the heart of his late wife.
According to him, Helen’s involvement in the initiative has helped sustain the humanitarian values for which the late First Lady was known, particularly her concern for families and vulnerable members of society.
