An all-Ethiopian refereeing team will take charge of Nigeria’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying encounter against Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday, with CAF assigning Tewodros Mitiku as the centre referee.

The Group L fixture will be played at the Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro in Bissau, with kick-off scheduled for 4pm local time, 5pm Nigerian time.

Mitiku will be assisted by compatriots Fasika Biru Fasika and Tigle Belachew, while Manuhe Woldetsadik has been named the fourth official.

CAF has also appointed Senegalese Yaya Balde as match commissioner, while former FIFA referee Papa Bakary Gassama of The Gambia will serve as referee assessor.

The encounter comes with both sides carrying winning records from their opening qualifiers. Nigeria defeated Madagascar 2-1, while Guinea-Bissau recorded a 2-0 victory over Tanzania.

Guinea-Bissau currently sit top of Group L on goal difference, with Nigeria occupying second place, making Tuesday’s meeting an early battle for control of the qualifying group.
