Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has introduced a digital platform to receive questions and policy suggestions from Nigerians as he seeks to deepen public engagement ahead of the 2027 general election.
The platform, named Ask AA, is scheduled to become operational at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026, offering citizens a free channel to seek clarification on his political record, policy positions and proposed solutions to the country’s challenges.
According to a statement issued by Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Campaign Council, the initiative will cover key concerns such as economic growth, insecurity, employment, technology and the cost of living. Atiku is expected to answer questions personally, with support from his media team.
The campaign said the project is intended to reduce the distance between political leaders and citizens by creating a platform for direct interaction. It also plans to introduce a radio-based interface to reach Nigerians in communities with limited or no internet connectivity.
Announcing the initiative on his X account, Atiku described leadership as a two-way conversation, arguing that citizens should have opportunities to question leaders, examine their policy proposals and contribute ideas to national development. He also disclosed plans to telephone selected participants who provide their contact details, allowing him to hear firsthand about their experiences and concerns.
The campaign said Ask AA would serve as a channel for public questions, policy feedback and citizens’ contributions to national development, with the planned radio option intended to extend its reach beyond internet-connected communities.
