A new Jumu’ah Mosque now stands within the Adamawa State Government House complex in Yola after Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri commissioned the facility.

Built by the state government, the mosque is expected to provide a dedicated place of worship for Muslim officials, staff and other worshippers within the Government House community and its environs.

Daily Trust reported that the commissioning attracted Islamic scholars, government officials, traditional rulers and other dignitaries, while prayers were offered for peace, unity and the continued development of Adamawa State and Nigeria.

The facility will serve for Friday congregational prayers as well as other Islamic religious activities, giving Muslim worshippers within the Government House environment access to a permanent prayer venue.

The commissioning marks the formal opening of the new worship centre and adds a dedicated Islamic facility to the Government House complex.
