Keyamo Commends Eno’s Tourism Drive, Highlights Arise Palm Resort Features

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has commended the Akwa Ibom State Government’s efforts to develop tourism infrastructure, particularly the Arise Palm Resort, describing the project as a potential complement to the state’s international airport.

Keyamo, who highlighted some of the facilities at the resort, mentioned an artificial lake said to be supplied by natural spring water, a clubhouse, villas, floating bars and restaurants, as well as sporting and recreational facilities.

The minister said the combination of the resort and the airport could strengthen Akwa Ibom’s appeal as a tourism and hospitality destination, while providing additional attractions for visitors to the state.

He also commended Governor Umo Eno for what he described as visionary and impactful leadership, particularly in promoting infrastructure and tourism development across the state.

The minister’s comments came against the backdrop of the state government’s broader efforts to position Akwa Ibom as a destination for tourism, leisure and investment.

While the resort is being developed with several leisure and hospitality facilities, the extent to which it will translate into increased visitor numbers, investment and employment will depend on its completion, effective management and sustained patronage.

The Arise Palm Resort is part of the state’s tourism development plans and is expected by the government to complement other infrastructure, including the newly developed international airport facilities.
