Health workers at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta, Ogun State, have reportedly convened a meeting following an alleged stabbing of a laboratory scientist by a patient’s relative at the facility.

The laboratory scientist, identified as Mr Lawal, was reportedly attacked on Monday night, according to SaharaReporters.

The incident reportedly prompted a congress involving health workers at the medical centre to discuss the attack and concerns about the safety of medical personnel.

Details surrounding the alleged attack remain unclear. The identity of the patient’s relative involved and the condition of the laboratory scientist were not immediately known.
