The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says it is engaging the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to address the omission of some of its candidates from the final list for the 2027 general elections.
According to The Next Edition, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Jungudo Mohammed, disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday.
Mohammed said the party was seeking a resolution to the omissions in line with electoral laws and established guidelines, assuring affected candidates that their concerns were receiving attention.
He urged the candidates, party members and supporters to remain calm while discussions with INEC continued, cautioning against actions or statements that could disrupt the process.
The PDP said it would provide further updates as necessary and remained committed to addressing the affected candidates’ concerns through its engagement with the commission.
