Poor Visibility Forces Air Peace Flight Back to Lagos

Air Peace has turned back a Lagos-to-Asaba flight after poor visibility around the runway at Asaba affected the aircraft’s scheduled arrival.

The airline’s spokesperson, Osifo-Whiskey Efe, disclosed this in a statement, saying the incident would affect the airline’s flight schedule and lead to delays on some other routes.

According to the statement, the affected aircraft, operating as flight P47860, was scheduled to fly from Lagos to Asaba but could not complete the journey because of the limited visibility around the runway.

Efe said the disruption was unexpected and could have a knock-on effect on other flights across the airline’s network.

“This unforeseen development has disrupted the flight, and other flights across our operating network will be delayed,” he said.

He apologised to passengers affected by the disruption, stressing that the safety of passengers and crew remained the airline’s foremost consideration in making operational decisions.
