Tinubu’s Visit: Okoko Charges Group To Intensify Grassroots Mobilisation For 150,000-Man Rally

President-General of the Arise With Renewed Hope Initiative, Engr. Uwem Okoko, has charged members of the organisation to intensify grassroots mobilisation across Akwa Ibom State ahead of its November 4 mega rally in Uyo, targeting more than 150,000 participants.

Okoko gave the charge at a meeting of the organisation’s International Executive Committee, where members were urged to strengthen their mobilisation structures and ensure effective participation at the rally scheduled for the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.

The rally is being organised ahead of the planned visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Akwa Ibom State to commission landmark projects executed by the state government.

The initiative, which supports the re-election of Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Governor Umo Eno, is activating its structures across the state’s 31 local government areas to mobilise supporters for the event.

At the meeting, International Coordinator of the organisation, Sir Udo Kierian Akpan, reaffirmed its commitment to its founding principles, assuring members that its vision and objectives remained firmly on course.

The Coordinating Director of Media and Publicity, Hon. Aniekan Umanah, who is also the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information, emphasised the need for strategic communication, sustained sensitisation and grassroots engagement to achieve the organisation’s objectives.

Umanah assured that the initiative’s message would reach communities across the state through coordinated media engagement and sustained public enlightenment.

Those present at the meeting included Mkpisong Frank Archibong, Dean of the College of Commissioners and Special Advisers; Commissioner for Finance, Emem Bob; Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Princess Emem Ibanga; and Commissioner for Housing, Dr. Henry Archibong.

Others were the Special Adviser on Bureau of Political Affairs, Barr. Kufre Udosen; Leader of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Otobong Bob; Hon. Eric Akpan; former Chief Whip of the Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Bassey; Dr. Glory Edet; and the organisation’s Secretary, Emmanuel Amama, alongside other prominent members.

The November 4 rally is expected to serve as a major mobilisation platform for the initiative as it prepares to receive Tinubu in the state, while reaffirming its support for the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the Akwa Ibom State Government’s ARISE Agenda.

The projected attendance of 150,000 remains the organisation’s target ahead of the rally.
