Candidates with outstanding admission offers from the 2021 to 2025 admission exercises have been given a final opportunity to regularise their records, following the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s extension of the decision period to November 30, 2026.

The directive affects candidates who are yet to either accept or reject their admission offers. JAMB said those who fail to act before the new deadline will have the outstanding offers changed to “Not Admitted” in its records.

The extension followed a disruption of the Board’s Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS), which was unavailable for about 96 hours and prevented some candidates from accessing their admission information. JAMB had previously set September 30 as the deadline for resolving the outstanding offers.

According to The Sun, candidates who accept their old offers will be able to print their admission letters, while those who reject them will have their dashboards reverted to “Not Admitted.” Any subsequent request to alter the admission records will attract the applicable penalty fee.

JAMB also advised candidates whose names are missing from the matriculation list to regularise their admission records. The Board noted that properly documented admissions are important for accessing related benefits, including participation in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.

For candidates who have since moved to another institution or changed programmes, JAMB said the appropriate correction or deletion of the previous admission can be pursued where applicable. Candidates already admitted in the 2026 exercise can also reject an earlier outstanding offer without affecting their current admission.

The Board urged all affected candidates to resolve their outstanding offers before November 30, stressing that any 2021–2025 admission left neither accepted nor rejected by then will automatically revert to “Not Admitted.”
