President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerians to re-elect him in 2027, promising outcomes he says the country has never experienced before if he secures a second term.
“Bring me back for a second term and see something you have never seen before,” Tinubu was quoted as saying in a report by Political Affairs Int.
The reported appeal comes ahead of the 2027 general elections, as the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) seeks to retain power and continue implementing its Renewed Hope Agenda.
Political Affairs Int cited improvements in inflation, foreign reserves, non-oil exports and investor confidence as signs of progress under the administration, attributing the claims to government officials.
The government has maintained that its next phase will focus on translating economic reforms into broader benefits for Nigerians, with priorities including job creation, food security and infrastructure development.
The administration has defended its economic reforms, arguing that measures introduced since Tinubu assumed office in May 2023 are intended to strengthen the economy and improve living standards over time.
