Minister of Works, David Umahi, will on today Tuesday inspect the troubled Benin-Asaba Road following mounting complaints over its deteriorating condition and the resulting traffic gridlock.
Umahi, who disclosed this monday during the flag-off of the Ibadan-Ijebu-Ode Road dualisation, said he would engage independent engineers, the project concessionaire and the state government on measures to address the crisis.
He assured motorists and other road users that the visit would seek an immediate solution to the worsening situation.
“Tomorrow, we are off to Benin-Asaba. I want Nigerians to be assured that when we get there, we’ll solve that problem,” the minister said.
