Desmond Elliot Kneels, Prostrates, Begs To Rejoin Lagos APC Family

Former Nollywood action actor and former Lagos State House of Assembly member, Hon. Desmond Elliot, has pleaded to be reintegrated into the All Progressives Congress (APC) family in Lagos, following his alleged disagreement with party leaders during the last primary election.

In a video circulating online, Elliot was seen kneeling and later prostrating before the Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, as he appealed for forgiveness and reconciliation.

Elliot, according to reports, expressed regret over his actions during the APC primary and pleaded with Gbajabiamila to forgive him. He also appealed for an opportunity to return to the fold and maintain his relationship with the party leadership.

The former lawmaker reportedly acknowledged Gbajabiamila as a key political mentor and appealed to him to intervene in restoring his place within the Lagos APC political family.

The development comes against the backdrop of reported disagreements surrounding the APC primary election in Surulere Constituency I, where Elliot was said to have differed with party leaders over the conduct and outcome of the exercise.

Gbajabiamila, who watched as Elliot made the emotional appeal, subsequently asked him to rise. The video has since generated attention online, with Elliot’s public show of contrition being interpreted as a significant step towards reconciliation and his reintegration into the Lagos APC family.
