The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced plans to conduct five legislative bye-elections across four states on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
The elections will cover one federal constituency and four State House of Assembly seats in Gombe, Kano, Bauchi and Delta states.
According to details released by INEC on Friday, voting is scheduled to take place between 8:30am and 2:30pm at designated polling units in the constituencies.
In Gombe, voters in the Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency will participate in the poll, while the Dawakin Kudu State Constituency is in Kano.
Bauchi will have elections in the Sakwa and Disina State Constituencies, while Delta will hold a bye-election in the Udu State Constituency.
The September 19 exercise is aimed at filling the legislative vacancies in the five constituencies.
