FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has accused Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of targeting him over the decision of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to give tickets to serving lawmakers who lost their return bids in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries.

Wike said some of the affected lawmakers, including three serving senators and members of the House of Representatives, were given PDP tickets after failing to secure APC tickets.

He argued that the move was intended to keep the lawmakers within the camp supporting President Bola Tinubu, rather than allowing them to defect to other political platforms.

“Instead of them to join the ADC or NDC, we, the PDP that is supporting the President, gave them tickets,” Wike said.

The minister also accused AbdulRazaq of repeatedly blaming him for problems in Kwara State, saying the governor should address local political issues without invoking the President’s name.

“When you have local problems, don’t use President Tinubu’s name to cover up,” Wike said.
