The Akwa Ibom State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will on Sunday hold a special dedication service to seek divine guidance and favour for its candidates and the party’s 2027 election campaigns.
The service, scheduled for November 1, 2026, at the International Christian Worship Centre (ICWC), Uyo, is being organised at the instance of Governor Umo Eno, the party leader in the state.
In a statement issued on Friday, the State Chairman of the party, Obong Stephen Ntukekpo, said the gathering would provide an opportunity to commit the party, its candidates and the entire electioneering process into the hands of God.
He said the service, with the theme, “We Are Well Able,” was drawn from Numbers 13:30, which states: “Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.”
According to the statement, Governor Eno will lead party candidates, elected representatives, political appointees, leaders and other stakeholders to the service.
The gathering, scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m., will feature prayers and worship, with the party seeking divine wisdom, strength, guidance and favour throughout the electoral process.
The APC chairman called on party organs, structures and support groups across the 31 local government areas to participate in the service.
He also extended the invitation to religious leaders, the Christian community, traditional institutions, civil society organisations and members of the general public.
The party said the exercise was intended to place its leadership, candidates, members and the people of the state before God as preparations for the 2027 electoral activities gather momentum.
