LAGOS — Air Peace has offered human rights lawyer Inibehe Effiong a 25 per cent discount on a one-way domestic ticket as compensation following the disruption of its Lagos–Enugu flight on September 21, 2026.
The offer followed intervention by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), which directed the airline to prepare a compensation package for affected passengers after finding that passengers had received an incorrect notification about the rescheduled flight.
According to the offer communicated to Effiong, the discount excludes taxes, is valid for six months, and cannot be used between December 15, 2026, and January 15, 2027.
The NCAA said the incident raised concerns about timely passenger communication and directed Air Peace to comply with applicable passenger-rights provisions under Part 19 of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations 2023.
