The Federal Government has approved ₦1.5 trillion for the reconstruction and dualisation of the Lambata–Bida–Mokwa–Makera–Kontagora Federal Highway in Niger State.
The project is scheduled to be flagged off on Tuesday, October 13, with the groundbreaking ceremony set to take place in Bida at 12 noon.
The Niger State Government announced the development through the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, Bologi Ibrahim, in a statement dated October 7.
Those expected at the ceremony include Governor Bago, Minister of Works, David Umahi; Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris; Chairman of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote; and the Chairman of Hi-Tech Construction.
The project covers the Lambata–Bida–Mokwa–Makera–Kontagora corridor, with the Federal Government’s intervention involving the reconstruction and dualisation of the highway.
