NSIT ATAI–OKOPEDI DUAL CARRIAGEWAY: GOV UMO ENO’S VISIBLE RECORD OF PERFORMANCE

By Raymond Alphonsus
Editor, PROJECT TRACKER

Governor Umo Eno’s 14.5-kilometre Nsit Atai–Okopedi dual carriageway has emerged as one of the clearest demonstrations of an administration that understands the needs of the people and is determined to deliver practical development across Akwa Ibom State.

The massive road project constructed by Hensek Integrated Services is not merely another construction site. It is a visible campaign promise being translated into reality, a strategic investment opening communities, strengthening connectivity and creating new economic opportunities for residents of Nsit Atai, Okobo and the wider Oro axis.

Under the ARISE Agenda, Governor Eno has continued to prove that governance should be measured by projects that directly improve the lives of citizens. The dual carriageway is expected to ease transportation, reduce travel time and provide safer access to markets, schools, healthcare facilities, farms and business centres.

For farmers and traders, the road will make it easier to transport goods and agricultural produce. For motorists and transport operators, it will reduce the difficulties associated with poor road conditions. For young people and business owners, it is opening a new corridor for investment, employment and commercial expansion.

The project also reinforces Governor Eno’s commitment to inclusive development. His administration has shown that infrastructure must not be concentrated only in Uyo or a few urban centres, but should reach communities across the 31 local government areas of Akwa Ibom State.

This people centred approach to governance is increasingly strengthening public confidence in the administration. Residents can see the roads, bridges, schools, healthcare interventions, compassionate homes and other development projects being delivered under the Governor’s leadership.

The Nsit Atai–Okopedi dual carriageway therefore represents more than asphalt and drainage. It is evidence of responsive leadership, responsible use of public resources and a government that is steadily fulfilling its promises to the people.

As the road is set to be commissioned, it adds another strong achievement to Governor Umo Eno’s growing record of performance and provides the people with another reason to support continuity beyond 2027.

Governor Eno’s message is being written across Akwa Ibom through visible development: communities are being connected, opportunities are being created and neglected areas are receiving renewed attention.

For the people who believe that one good turn deserves another, the Nsit Atai- Okopedi dual carriageway stands as a compelling reason to support Governor Umo Eno for a second term and allow the ARISE Agenda to continue delivering prosperity, peace and sustainable development across Akwa Ibom State.
